Premium Times Publisher Dapo Olorunyomi and Reporter, Evelyn Okakwu have been released.


As confirmed by PREMIUM TIMES in a tweet, the police have released Dapo Olorunyomi, publisher of PREMIUM TIMES and Evelyn Okakwu, a reporter, after delaying them for several hours.

They were arrested on Thursday over a report that the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) was investigating Tukur Buratai, chief of army staff, for allegations of corruption.

The journalists were taken to the police headquarters at Garki 2, Abuja, and later transferred to a police station at Wuse around 9:22pm, and later released.
